Karen Schwimmer, CPA, EA

Karen recently moved to Lakewood after thirty-four years living at 9000′ near the top of Coal Creek Canyon. She has owned a number of businesses, with an emphasis on real estate ventures including sales, appraisal, property management, fixing and flipping homes and short-term rentals. Realizing that the underlying theme of any successful business is the need to understand money, cash flow and budgeting, she returned to school, obtained degree in accounting from Metro State and completed the CPA Exam and Enrolled Agent Certification.  Karen is passionate helping business owners understand their finances and empowering them to take control of the financial aspects of their business.  Karen specializes in Taxation of Individuals, LLC’s/Sole Proprietors and S Corporations.

As a CPA, Karen can represent taxpayers before the IRS, Colorado Department of Revenue and Colorado Department of Labor to resolve tax, payroll and unemployment audits, address notices and negotiate payment plans for back tax issues. Colorado CPA License #0034744
